About Pinky Electric Inc. Pinky Electric Inc. was founded in the summer of 1950 by Alois Pinkowski, affectionately known as “Pinky.” Alois began his electrical career working on electric motors at Louis Allis, where he earned multiple awards for his innovations in motor wiring. Driven by a desire to build a better life for his family, he joined IBEW Local 494 and launched Pinky Electric Co. out of a small garage in the 2300 block of South 20th Street in Milwaukee. With just two trucks and two employees, Alois began wiring apartments, condos, and trailer parks throughout the Milwaukee and Johnson Creek areas, building a reputation for hard work, reliability, and quality craftsmanship. Alois’s son, Marvin Pinkowski, began working alongside his father at just 16 years old. He later completed a two-year apprenticeship with Staff Electric before returning to Pinky Electric in the 1960s, as Alois prepared for retirement. Marvin’s career took him to Muskego, then a small farming town, where his wife Nancy fell in love with the community. Together, they built their family home on Lannon Drive and started the next chapter of the Pinky Electric legacy. Marvin focused primarily on residential electrical work, helping grow the company into what it is today. His two sons, Steve and Craig Pinkowski, eventually took over the business as the third generation owners, expanding Pinky Electric into the commercial electrical field while maintaining the same high standards their grandfather established. Today, Steve and Craig remain actively involved in daily operations, and Trevor Pinkowski, Craig’s son, proudly represents the fourth generation working in the business. For over 75 years, Pinky Electric has continued to grow while staying true to the same core values, craftsmanship, and customer-first principles that started it all. We are proud to remain a small, family-owned electrical contractor, and we have no plans to change that. When you call Pinky Electric, you’re supporting a local family business—just like your own. Thank you for being part of our story.
